THE MEMORY_
BANK_

///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

The memory bank is made of 11 key memories, structured around the real memories of interviewed refugees. The memories follow a somewhat chronological timeline of all those interviewed, from their life before crisis, to their new lives in their host countries.

Each video blends fiction and reality but overall aims to capture the essence of the memory, through the use of  interactive animation. The viewer therefore can choose which memory they view and which pathway they take as they move along the memory bank; based on real feelings, experiences and accounts

Some items throughout the bank are exaggerated to show its importance within the memory

FOYER

foyer jpeg.jpg

The foyer acts as the starting point of the video as well as the main menu. Here viewers have a variety of options to choose from. It is recommended to click 'What is the memory bank' as a starting point to ensure you are familiarised with the project before you begin your journey along the memory bank. ]

The foyer itself has been designed to  feel as personal as possible whilst being centred in a surrealist setting. This reminds the viewer that although the memory bank is a creative and imaginative piece, it is still grounded in reality and personal memories. There is a timer in the top right hand corner of every video so please keep this in mind when making a choice. Use the menu in the top left corner to navigate the video at any point.
