After interviewing 3 refugees from across europe, a video was created to document their memories and journey. These stories were displayed around campus for the public to interact with.
This video depicts the stories of Hazem, Aiman and Mams; refugee who made the harrowing journey across the Mediterranean in search of saftey, as well as reactions from the general public upon reading the stories..
This piece was inspired by the work of @forfreedoms . An art and activist group in America who similarly, posted the thoughts, letters and writings of prisoners on a wall; allowing viewers to read and learn about their experiences first hand

The exhibit aimed to shine a light on the stories of refugees and bring it home to the people in Manchester who may be unaware of the extent of the issue. This piece therefore transcends borders. The final question asked was ‘what is your sense of place?’ Bringing the message full circle and forcing the viewer to reflect upon their own lives and situations, in contrast to the refugees.
